Minimalist Intervention  Supports Mindfulness For Stressed Nurses

A minimalist intervention for Hospital Nurses which consisted of listening to a ten minute meditation daily for four weeks showed measurable benefits in Perceived Stress and Self-Compassion. I have a special interest in simple low-cost interventions, having been a part of new program developments in nursing services during my career. Although the impact of this intervention was small, the intervention required little investment in time or expertise and could be implemented at low cost. If used as a part of a more comprehensive program this may provide a model for an expanded and more effective intervention.
