Pause4-Providers: Brief Online Drop-in Sessions Benefited Health Care Workers During Covid Pandemic

A brief Mindfulness Based Intervention (MBI) was acceptable and helpful for Healthcare workers during the Covid pandemic. This qualitative study published in 2024 looked at the acceptability and benefits of a half hour on-line drop-in model implemented in Toronto during the first wave of the Covid Pandemic. Generally research results are limited to the effects of an intervention at completion and at three or six months post-intervention, but many researchers suggest that long term supportive followup might be required to assure continuity and longevity of the benefits. A model like this might be an element of a comprehensive post intervention support for healthcare workers following an initial introductory MBI.
